An updated calendar can be found on our website. The Inservice Day on October 11th will now be a regular school day. Our Inservice Day has been moved to Tuesday, November 5th. Students will not have school on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The PTG officers this year are: Michael Morton, president; Leslie Fennell, vice president; Steph Sherburne, secretary; and Miranda McLellan, treasurer. We are so appreciative for our PTG board members and all volunteers.
A huge shout out goes to Sara Giles, former PTG president and Britt Chase, former treasurer, for their years of dedication and involvement in our school. Sara and Britt have both offered to work with our new officers, helping with the transition. Thank you both, for all you do to support our students and staff!

Hello Center Drive Families! Just a reminder that we are looking forward to seeing you at Open House on Monday, August 26 at 6:00 PM. Our first day of school for grades 1-8 is Wednesday, August 28 and the first day for PreK and K is Thursday, August 29. CDS staff have been busy getting ready to welcome you all to another fantastic school year!
Calling all middle school soccer players - Coach Benny and Coach Grant are hosting soccer scrimmages for BOTH boys and girls, starting today, August 13, from 4:00-6:00 PM. This is for anyone entering grades 5-8 who is interested in learning more about soccer or just wants to warm up for the upcoming season. No commitment -- come to one or come to all four free sessions!
CDS soccer tryouts will begin September 3. More information will be posted soon.
Center Drive School Open House is Monday, August 26 from 6:00-7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for our school community to come together, meet the teachers, explore the building, and share your new school year excitement with your friends! We cannot wait to see you there!

Hey Center Drive School parents! The PTG (Parent Teacher Group) needs some help this fall. There will be a couple board vacancies that will need to be filled. The Treasurer (Britt) and the President (Sarah) will be taking a couple years off. The PTG funds various school field-trips, school events, Teacher Appreciation, etc. The PTG also supports the community by hosting events like the Trunk or Treat, Valentines Family Dance, Christmas Shop and others. This is a great opportunity to get involved and help support our amazing teachers, coaches and community. The positions that will be voted in this fall are: -President -Vice Present -Treasurer -Secretary. Feel free to reach out to the PTG at cdsptg@cdsedu.org if you have any questions!
CDS Summer School begins Monday, July 8. Summer School is Monday-Thursday (4 days/week) from 8:30-12:00 noon. We look forward to welcoming our amazing students back to school for four weeks of exciting learning opportunities, new friends, and new experiences!

The new school year begins August 28 for grades 1-8 and August 29 for preK and kindergarten.
The students from our Gifted & Talented program visited the Bangor Humane Society today to drop off donations from their pet supply drive: Pennies for Puppies & Koins for Kittens. In total, our G/T students collected $550 and approximately $400 worth of donated items. Thank you to all who helped, and to Mrs. Currie-Wright for leading this group of students in their efforts!
