Important message from the PTG:
It's with our deepest regret that we have decided to cancel the kids holiday shop for 2021. With resources still thin and the challenges we continue to face through the pandemic, the PTG believes it is in the best interest to preserve the dignity of this event.
If you have donated or volunteered, we are thankful for your contribution. All donations and supplies will be applied to the Kids Holiday Shop 2022!

Please review our sport handbook, located on the website.
Basketball is a team sport that places five players on the court at a
time. The game is 32 minutes for the A team and 28 minutes for the B
team. This is a cut sport that recommends a team size of up to 10-12
players. Final team numbers would be at the administration and coaches’ discretion. CDS Basketball supports two girl’s teams and two boy’s teams, A and B. This sport is open to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. If there are not enough players to fill these teams, the fifth graders will be eligible to try out for the B team only.
Cheering can have up to two teams, a competition team and a
cheering squad. The cheering squad consists of the whole team. The team cheers at all home games. The competition squad has the opportunity to cheer at cheerleading competitions throughout the season. They cheer competitively three or four times during the season. The recommended team size is sixteen to twenty cheerleaders. Final team numbers would be at the administration and coaches’ discretion.
Congratulations to both of our soccer teams for finishing an amazing season with 2 wins! They both won their championship games in overtime. They were very exciting games! At the request of our coaches, please see the information about the upcoming banquet:
"The soccer parent game and end of season celebration will be Wednesday at 4PM.
Please bring clean uniforms, so we can make sure we get them all back! Thank you
We will start the parent game a little early this year, around 4 PM. No worries if you can't be there at 4, we will be playing for a while and you can join when you get there. We split the players up in 2 groups. They will alternate 10 minute periods, substituting back and forth. Parents can substitute at will. Depending on the numbers, siblings are welcome to join on the parents side!
We will have pizza delivered around 4:45 PM outside. If you are not playing, we can use some parents to handle the pizza delivery and set up. The kids that are not playing at the time can grab some food and when we substitute the other half can grab some. We ask parents to bring chips and deserts this year.
The Orrington Rec is donating the left over drinks in the snack shack, sodas, Gatorade, water and hot chocolate. Bring some more soda of your choosing if you'd like.
There is a chance of rain, so if you have a popup tent / ez-up, please consider bringing it. If the rain gets too bad, we will bring the food into the cafeteria. After the game we will do the end of year presentation, either outside or in the gym. We had a great season this year and proud of ALL the players! See you all Wednesday!"
Due to the impending weather the cross country championship has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 28th.
